Job Description
Summary:
Contributes to the Coffee Shops overall success by ensuring Steam and The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center's service experience standards are met and surpassed by providing guests with prompt, quality coffee selection, purchase and preparation.
Also assists Steam and Food & Beverage Supervisor/Management with daily operational responsibilities.
Support fellow staff in all aspects of service from preparation to opening through closing.

QUALIFICATIONS/PRE-REQUISITES:
Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/orholidaysMeet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodationSix (6) months of experience in a position that required constant interacting with and fulfilling the requests of customersJOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum lifting 50 lbs.
Ability to verbally engage, communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reachingExposure to cleaning chemicalsProlonged periods of standingAbility to learn quicklyAbility to work as part of a teamJOB FUNCTIONS:
Welcomes and connects with every guest to provide excellent customer service.
Discover customer needs and appropriately suggest product with every guest to enhance service and meet sales goals.
Learns and demonstrates creating the Hotel Roanoke experience.
Maintains all equipment using strict maintenance guidelines, using servesafe protocols.
Preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe revisions.
Comply with Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center cash handling procedures.
Learns and demonstrates all performance standards by completing Initial Store Training and passing Barista certification with a score of 90% or higher (After Hire).
Follow proper procedures for POS Operation, ringing guest checks and payment handling procedures.
Perform all sidework duties according to sidework schedules.
Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by manager.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
