Summary:
You have a passion for customer service and ensuring the safety of guests and team members!
Job Description:
The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of guests, employees and their property.
This includes supporting other department activities to help assure the highest levels of guest and employee service.
The Security Officer will also help guide and support the administration of training on safety and security functions for both other security officers and the employees.
This position is full time and hours are mostly 3pm - 11pm, but could include another shift as needed.
You should be flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Starting pay is $14.
50 per hour with an increase at 90 days.
Health benefits are effective the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.
You are eligible for PTO/Holiday pay at the completion of 90 days.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Previous Security experience required and or military or law enforcement.
Preference given to previous hotel Security experience.
First Aid/AED/CPR training preferred or obtainable.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests & co-workers.
Ability to accomplish necessary tasks on a computer.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Ability to work on your own with limited supervision but can stay on task to complete required duties.
All Security personnel must have a clear Criminal Background and DMV record.
WHAT THE JOB DOES:
Patrol the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.
Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property.
Promote safe work practices.
Initiates preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed.
Writes reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
Monitors visitors and vendors and issues badges to sameAssist with opening guest rooms and meeting rooms as needed.
Issue radios, master and hard keys for employeesCompleting daily activity reports and incident reports.
Respond to fire panel when activatedRespond to medical call and incident callsPerform other related duties as requested by Manager.
