Job Description

Skyworks Solutions seeks an RF characterization technician or entry level engineer who will play a key role in the development of Skyworks' SAW/BAW and MEMs technologies. This technician/engineer will operate advanced metrology systems including acoustic vibrometers and thermal imagers and numerous other homemade RF measurement systems to support the characterization of MEMs devices. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in the testing of semiconductor and/or MEMs devices and test methodologies required by such devices. The candidate will have the ability to function effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-geographic environment and must also be able to collaborate well with other engineers to achieve divisional objectives.

Key
Responsibilities:
Operate wide range of metrology and RF characterization systems.
Write and/or modify control code to automate such systems.
Communicate both verbally and through email regularly to report on progress/results.
Key outcomes that are desired:
Conduct numerous characterizations needed by worldwide teams to analyze and improve BAW/SAW devices and filters and MEMs devices.
Able to operate in a highly demanding lab environment while generating high quality work product.


Experience:
5 years of relevant advanced RF characterization experience preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry is required.
A proven track record as a team player on an engineering team, preferably with experience functioning effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-geographic engineering environment.
Experience in performing S-parameters, power, & loadpull types of measurements of RF devices using instruments as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, IV tracers, and experience calibrating such systems.
Experience with miscellaneous RF equipment including sma cabling, amplifiers, combiners, circulators, couplers, attenuators, etc.
Experience assembling multi-component RF systems from a block diagram.
Strong skills in data analytics to control equipment -- programming & scripting -- preferred.
Demonstrated strong communication /presentation skills.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
