Position will be housed in Roanoke, however, will have opportunities for travel to/from other Carilion facilities and locations. Serves a strategic business partner with clinical departments, leading the development and coordination of organization-wide education initiatives. Provides in-person and virtual training to small and large groups from across the system. Target audience includes both new and seasoned employees. Assists in developing the Carilion workforce through teaching/facilitation, design/development, and consulting. Utilizes project management skills to manage education projects including measuring learning outcomes. Must be able to develop both education and communication plans. Writing skills necessary to work with customers and develop deliverables.
If selected for interview, must provide 2 samples of writing examples and provide a 5-minute teaching demonstration.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing - or any bachelor's degree plus a master's degree in nursing required.
Experience: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an RN in acute care - PCU/ICU experience preferred. Has a passion for teaching nurses and is willing to keep nursing competencies current.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia AHA BLS-HCP required. May be required to obtain/maintain, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit.

Qualifications: Must have strong oral and written communication skills, project management skills, time management skills, organizational skills, training skills, customer service skills, and strong follow up skills. Must be able to think critically, be creative and must take initiative in their work. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Must be a team player.
