Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School diploma / GED. Prefer candidates with certified nursing assistant, medical assistant, emergency medical technician, or other healthcare education.
Experience: 1 year direct patient healthcare experience and completion of Carilion Anesthesia Tech I competencies required.
Licensure/Certifications/Registration: Must successfully complete AHA BLS-HCP within 2 months of hire and maintain throughout employment.
Other Minimum
Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, critical thinking skills, communication and team working skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position. Must meet all level I competencies within 6 weeks of hire/start. Must be able to fulfill fundamental components/essential elements of position. Basic computer skills. Ability to work in a high pressure/rapid paced environment. Ethical and legal issues and responsibilities. Biologic hazards, infection control, and standard precautions.
