Position Summary
This is an entry-level position assisting the Project Manager with developing data driven business software.
Responsibilities:
Take direction from the Project Manager to determine information requirements of the company, to determine boundaries and priorities of new projects.
Develops new applications from beginning to end.
Maintain/upgrade software and provide training to employees when necessary.
Keep abreast of technological developments/advances in the software industry that would benefit the company
Correct errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced.
Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.
Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.
Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment.
Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic.
Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users.
Investigate whether networks, workstations, the central processing unit of the system, and/or peripheral equipment are responding to a program's instructions.
Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation, and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language.
Perform systems analysis and programming tasks to maintain and control the use of computer systems software as a systems programmer.
Consult with and assist computer operators or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running computer programs.
Assign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnel.
Train subordinates in programming and program coding.
Skills & Abilities:
Write code that is maintainable, sustainable and transportable
Troubleshoot complex database applications and related systems running Windows, Windows Server and Mac OS X
Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
College degree in an applicable field helpful but not required
2 - 4 years DBMS experience, 4D and javaScript experience a plus
Equipment:
Multiple server and client computers to support Windows and Mac platforms to develop in-house ERP software using 4D platform
Physical Requirements:
Work is done in an office environment
Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
Employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel
Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear
Occasionally performs work related travel
The noise level in the work environment is lowEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
