Supports Carilion s hallmarks of service excellence and quality for all job responsibilities.Performs a variety of duties including: assisting patients with menu selection, tray assembly, tray delivery,tray retrieval, delivery of snacks, tube feedings, and nourishments.Customer relations and service delivery to patients, food preparation and storage, and general sanitation and cleaning of the department.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education:High School diploma or equivalent education required.
Experience:Food Service experience helpful.Customer service experience helpful.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration:Areas in which employee is deemed in charge of departmental operations,SERV-Safe Certification or equivalent certification from the Virginia Health Department is required; or ability to obtain certification within year one (1)in this position.
Other Minimum
Qualifications:Knowledge of food preparation and food safety /sanitation.Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork skills required.Must enjoy Catering to others.Extensive customer interaction required.Keyboarding or computer skills for automated computer systems.Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position. Ability to multi - task and perform duties as assigned.
