The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Exercises full technical and administrative responsibilities for planning, developing, implementing, executing, and evaluating the Information Technology (IT) Program. Resolves acquisition issues, related to IM policy matters, and potentially controversial items. Manages the provision of the full range of Information Mission Area (IMA) services to include automation, communications, etc. Oversees and assure interoperability, integration, and operations for the installed base of hardware and software, and continuity of operations, e.g., coordinates, executes, implements and maintains the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and operation of customer hardware and applications, local area networks (LANs), dedicated communications lines, voice and video systems, and connections to wide area networks. Develops IT and IM service related operating procedures and policy. Plans and oversees the implementation of new systems and applications to minimize the disruption of ongoing activities while meeting schedule and cost considerations. Identifies technology opportunities that will have significant effect on the ability to support the customer base and perform the mission, maintaining a set of information and technology priorities, initiatives, and activities that strike an appropriate balance among competing demands. Develops and executes IM Program goals and objectives. Ensures that the life cycle of information and associated IT assets, to include collection, processing, storage and disposal, is effectively managed and integrated. Develops and executes a customer training and evaluation program. Performs financial management and oversight of the IM program. Plans the work to he accomplished by the unit, assigns work to employees, and establishes production or quality standards for the unit's work. Performs other related duties as assigned. Supervisory IT Specialist/17042-A To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. GS-13 grade level:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-12 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrated participation or leadership in projects that had an effect on 10,000 or more end users; Demonstrated LAN/WAN management issues in a health care setting with more than 3000 end users; Identification and execution of securing assets housing patient identifiable information including the creation of a security plan, risk identification, and remediation; and, development and design of a complex network with interconnected hardware and software components. AND, in addition to the experience described above, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below which must be supported by your resume and other application materials. 1. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
