Airway Transportation Systems Specialist (Radar)

As a RADAR Technical Support Specialist on the Technical Support Staff, you will be required to perform a variety of functions directly relating to the operations of NAS. The incumbent will make decisions and recommendations involving major segments of the NAS, which extend beyond District boundaries. Determine whether specific services, systems, or subsystems are operating (or capable of operating) within applicable parameters and specifications (and the technical acceptability or status thereof) and provides systems and service certification as required by agency policy and guidelines.The incumbent initiates actions for repair or restoration of services and systems, taking into the account the availability of back-up systems and possible configurations to minimize service interruptions, and the relative criticality of particular functions to the safe and efficient operations of services throughout the area of geographic responsibility of the position. Coordinates and directs the maintenance and restoration of critical systems and subsystems within set geographical boundaries. Implements changes to NAS systems and services and ensures interface capability in the development, procurement, installation and acceptance of modifications and enhancements. Frequent travel is required. To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess experience that demonstrates an extensive knowledge of technology, system interrelationships and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation and electronics systems.Generally, experience at the next lower level, Pay Band H/level III or FGGS-12 (progressive) in the Federal Aviation Administration, meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience provides the Demonstrated Abilities.Demonstrated Abilities:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
