Program Support Assistant (OA)

Tracks and maintains records for performance measures associated with the program. Reviews employee workload data reports for the Vet Center to ensure proper reporting and processing Interprets and applies regulatory and procedural requirements for the Vet Center. Provides practical knowledge of requirements and operations of the Vet Center to solve problems through application of guides lines and past practice. Ability to work independently to meet Vet Center objectives, priorities, goals and deadlines. Tracks the day-to-day, monthly, and quarterly budgets of the Center. Tracks Vet Center expenses against the budgets. Provides knowledge if contracting procedures to process contracts/provider request and billing. Provides administrative support for purchasing and timekeeping. Receives visitors and telephone calls for Vet Center concerning such items as scheduling, data reporting, and referrals. Attend meetings and committees as assigned. Schedule committee meetings, including making reservations for meeting rooms and notifying all participants. Compose letters, memoranda, reports, etc. Design and prepare detailed charts and graphs for use in presentations, based on workload data. Use of personal computer and a variety of software packages. Create and maintain a computerized record system. Enter and/or extract information from data systems for reports and other purposes. Use Outlook and word processing software to create a variety of documents. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
providing administrative support such as composing letters, enter and/or extracting data from databases, and using outlook and word processing software; receiving visitors and telephone calls concerning such items as scheduling, data reporting, and referrals; and/or making reservations for meetings. Physical Requirements:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; or driving a automobile, etc. No Special physical demands are required to perform the work. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and trainings rooms, or libraries. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
