The ideal PSR Program Manager is experienced in working with adult groups, understands the importance of timeliness of program documentation, and exhibits leadership among colleagues.
NHSS provides Community-based Mental Health Services for individuals in Western, Southern, Southwest and Southwestern Virginia areas.
NHSS staffs are valued for their leadership in the community and within the organization.
This position reports to the PSR Director and serves as Lead PSR Specialist in providing psychosocial rehabilitation training/supports for adult individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
The PSR Program Manager works as part of a team under the direction of the PSR Director and with other PSR Staff in managing the day-to-day operations of the program which includes:
Scheduling community activities Assigning work groups Coordinating Staff Training Performance Evaluations Serving as resource for referrals Ensuring development and completion of documentation is timely and in compliance Provide effective and safe PSR sessions, on-site and off-site, with assigned consumers in the PSR program Ensure staffing schedules are maintained and appropriate coverage is provided for PSR sessions.
Provide coverage for absent staff as needed Assure that all consumers are treated with dignity and respect Responsible for maintaining professional, informative and appropriate communication with families, colleagues, and members of the community.
Conduct regular meetings with assigned staff, complete evaluations, and providing training to PSR Clinicians and Administrative Staff under the direction of the PSR Director.
Maintain regular and prompt communication with clinicians, supervisors, and licensed staff regarding status of program area and areas for improvement.
Maintain effective time management skills and function with minimal supervision Schedule and maintain staff trainings and team building activities under the direction of the PSR Director Requirements of Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Program Manager:
Bachelors in Human Services or related field Board of Counseling Certification - QMHP-A or C Two years (2 yrs.
) adult group intervention experience Knowledge of Psychosocial Rehabilitation/Day Supports services Must be able to effectively communicate with various community partners Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner Must be able pass background check A valid driver's license and good driving record (no negative points) is essential for this position
